THE FINAL COURT

 

In the Final Court, the issue will not be:

 

            "Are you worthy to stand here without shame?"

 

                        If that were the issue, we're all lost.

 

In the Final Court, the issue will be:

 

            "What did you do with the mercy you were shown?

                        Did you receive it?

                        Did you live it?"

 

Sooner or later the mercy of God is extended to all….

 

            Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

 

But God forces his mercy on no one…. 

For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes on him might not perish, but have eternal life.

It remains for us to receive God's mercy and walk in it….which we can do afresh, beginning this moment. 

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.  If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth; but if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son, cleanses us from all sin.

                                                            I John 1:5-7
